The Road You Choose To Travel

My excitement and sense of anticipation continue to grow as I complete the second week of the course.  Already it is turning out to be an amazing learning curve that is fuelling my already blazing passion for photography.

My motto?    “Onwards and Upwards!!”

Here are some of this week’s photos from my Open Studio Portfolio:

The Harbour at Abersoch

A Swan at the Marina In Pwllheli

The Sea Shore at Criccieth.

Remembrance Garden at Criccieth

The House on the Beach. Would you like to live this close to the ocean?

A Dead Tree down the Lane

Moss Valley, about 100 metres from my home.

If you hear a different drummer — dreamer, take a chance . . .

The road you choose to travel means the difference in the dance.”

Nominated by http://clanmother.com

Thank you all for your nominations.  I am greatly honoured.

The rules in general are:

1) Thank the person who nominated you .

2) Post the image on your blog.

3) Share 7 things about yourself.

I’m a dreamer and I find it difficult to keep my feet on the ground.  My daughter says she wishes she lived in my world!!

I love inspirational quotes.  I write them out in ink on coloured card and place them round the house.

I write Morning Pages [as advised by Julia Cameron in "The Artist's Way"].  On awakening, I sit in bed with a mug of hot, sweet tea, and scribble 3 foolscap pages of longhand, stream of consciousness writing.

I meditate every evening before going to bed.

I believe in God /The Great Spirit / The Divine.

My favourite book of all time is “The Shack” by Wm P Young.

I studied the teachings of the Indian Guru, Paramahansa Yogananda, for nearly 4 years.

4) Pass the awards to 5 or more blogs you enjoy, and inform them:

These are my nominations for some of the bogs that I follow and enjoy. Thank you all for your inspiration.

    • Thank you, Melody. I particularly love that photo too, even though it’s a bit out of focus. I will add a piece on my blog about the learning process on the course. Sending blessings to your heart.

  1. Congrats on your awards, hope you will accept one more :) Just wanted to let you know I have nominated you for the Super Sweet Blogging Award. I hope this will be welcome news for you. Some people choose not to participate, others enjoy the opportunity to visit new-to-you blogs and to be visited by new-to-you bloggers. To read more about the award and accepting this nomination, visit my post at http://autumninbruges.wordpress.com/2012/10/15/catching-up-on-awards/

  2. Hi LizzieJ ! You must be pleased with these . I like them too because some of them remind me of a New Year Holiday when we rented a cottage in Abersoch with friends . Am sure we visited the beach with the house so close to the sea on a very blustery day .
Co incidently, yesterday I was out and about taking shots of swans too – and actually it was not as easy as it would appear is it ;-) mine were all over the place as they were being rather bossy about the bread crusts someone was throwing into the river .

    • Thanks Poppy. Abersoch is lovely, isn’t it. I remember going camping there when I was about sixteen years old. The house on the beach is at Morfa Nefyn, by a golf course.
The swan was particularly obliging and sailed slowly past me in the sunshine, so I got a good shot.
      Blessings.

    • Thank you for taking the time to comment. I appreciate it very much. I’m glad you enjoyed the photos. It is a growing passion with me, it inflames my heart, and I’m loving every moment. Blessings.

  3. Thank you so much for accepting my nomination. You have been an inspiration and a source of joy ever since I starting blogging. Your generosity and compassion can be seen in every post and comment that you make. Love you photos! And I have a quote that you can add to your collection. “Life is a song – sing it. Life is a game – play it. Life is a challenge – meet it. Life is a dream – realize it. Life is a sacrifice – offer it. Life is love – enjoy it.” Sai Baba Take good care!!

    • Thank you, Rebecca. You have such a lovely way with words. Your spirit shines through them. I love the quote and will add it to my collection which now stands at 1046!! Following your example, I have certain favourites at certain times which I post around the house to inspire me. It’s a nice way to live. Thank you for a lovely idea. Enjoy your day. With blessings.

  4. Congratulations on your awards! My favorite photo is the house on the beach. We rented a beach house that close to the water, in Bella Bella, while my husband was business manager of a small hospital. I could see eye to eye with gulls as they flew past our window. Several times I spotted whales. At high tide the water would come into the unfinished basement! I would never buy a home that close to the water…

    Blessings ~ Wendy
